There are approximately 565 federally recognized, sovereign Indian and Alaska Native nations in the United States, with members ranging from approximately 2 million (enrolled) – 4.5 million (mixed race) people who speak more than 250 languages. NHCDA needs resources in order to meet the overwhelming needs of such a diverse and geographically scattered people group. The organization does not receive federal funding, denominational support, nor money from large corporate sponsorships or private endowments. We are able to offer our services through the generous donations of faithful supporters. A one-time gift would be helpful and appreciated, but a longer-term commitment would help ensure the sustainability of the ongoing work of the organization on behalf of indigenous peoples.
